The more direct impression evidenced in the construction is the province erudition, limited in the mere decorative elements connected to the architecture. One feels or presents this attitude in the type of tearing, the use of the whitewash, recent use, and posterior to the eighteenth century, the calcareous rock lack in the northeast gave "to the imported" whitewash the character of luxury, that only the rich people could afford. This singularity is opposed to the rude masonry, not common in Lamalonga. The result is a harmonic set with different origins. That is to say, that the popular architecture and erudite architecture are mixed here and have a mutual influence in this construction. To the constructive solution, a feature of the region, an aesthetic concern is added.
The HOUSE OF VINHAIS DE SÁ is constituted by a set of architectural parts that, throughout times, were born from the necessities determined by the time and the place. It is presented today as only one building, peacefully implanted in the land, turning its back to the cold north wind, and with actuality to resist to a new use. The house is now used for agricultural tourism, after the work done to rebuild it.
